Road

For people traveling in groups of 4-5 we would suggest you to hire taxis from a reputable travel agent. This way you can split the travel cost and it would be reasonable on pockets and ensure comfortable journey. If you own a 4 wheeler and have experience of driving on Himalayan roads then you can consider driving all the way to reach Giri Camps basecamp as well.
For people traveling by road we would advise them to avoid Heavy, spicy, or fat-rich foods while traveling as it may cause motions sickness.

Giri Camps basecamp is about 220 km from Shimla and the journey is full of beautiful landscapes with gushing Satluj river, forests, barren mountains. If you are traveling via taxi or personal vehicle take a break every couple of hours to capture and appreciate the nature around. By the time you reach Giri Camps you will be in love with Kinnaur. Take plenty of rest here and get yourself ready for beautiful trek to Kinner Kailash next day.
